Hi it's Ross... It's been a while since I posted. It's been a little hectic last few days. I've just been busy with our new website which we're both now listing away for. We're both really excited!

Yesterday was a great day. The weather was beautiful here hope it was good for you. We had ice creams, drinks in the sun, barbeque, etc, etc. All accompanied by a great rooftop party on our building, and wrapped up with an electrical storm at the end of the day!

It was great to put some summer clothes on! I'd almost forgotten what summer felt like. I got to wear my summer hat which I haven't had a chance to wear since we went to Bali on holiday! Today we're off out to catch up with friends and indulge in the sunshine again!

Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zero's gig!

This is what we wore going to the gig. Marisa looked very pretty in her black lace vintage dress and cute bird tights. I went for a bit of layering and wore my red jeans after rediscovering them in the back of my wardrobe.

We've been really excited about seeing this band since we've listened to them for so long, and have been part of our experience when we started The Attic People. When Marisa got the email she was wonderfully surprised they where playing in London and at such a great venue.

We got off the tube in Waterloo and walked our way through meandering streets and roads. When we got inside the old disused tunnels we were dazzled by the colourful graffiti plastering the walls.

After we showed our tickets we were then approached by two fully attired cowboy bandits passing us sweets disguised as something illegal. Then stewardesses welcomed us to Mars, and within a few steps we were amazed to see the moon had been lassoed into the performance space.

Amongst the Burlesque dancing, costumed actors, art pieces and circus acts we moved around soaking it all in. We were so glad we came to see the band here rather than a standard venue.

It seemed long whilst in the crowd waiting for the band, and uncomfortable sqeezing into your own tight personal space as the standing area was overflowing with fans. But, when the band arrived it was fantastic! They made their entance through the audience and delivered an electrifying performance.

The band was brilliant and played spontaneously, giving a warm and wonderful array of well loved music. The frontman -Alexander - was one of the best I've seen peering into your eyes as he sang impassioned like a musical preacher. We would definitely recommend seeing these guys live. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

What I wore on posting Monday...

Photo of Marisa with Vintage peter pan collar coat” Title=

Today was what I call posting monday. We had massive amounts of bids ending last night so most of today was spent packaging items to be sent across the globe! It's quite exciting wondering who will be receiving our items (almost as exciting as dreaming of who owned them in the first place).

If you ever buy any items from us and would like to be featured on our blog please email us some pictures of you and your purchase. It would be lovely to put faces to the names on the parcels. Aside from the manic packaging, I managed to start preparing some new listings for this Thursday's new shop update.

So this is what I wore today whilst on my errands. Ross and I also managed to spend a bit of time on our rooftop as the sun was setting... It's such a nice place to be at that time of day. Although it looks warm the sunlight was very deceiving... It was bitterly cold! The coat I chose to wear today was definitely not warm enough.

Hope you all had a good weekend? Ours was fairly simple and quiet, we enjoyed relaxing, walking, and eating nice food at Gourmet Burger. We will be holding a giveaway soon over at cakies; a fantastic lifestyle blog we are now sponsoring. So be sure to check back soon for more details.

Love for tapestry

Selection of vintage tapestry bags available in our store !

My first vintage tapestry bag was purchased back in 2003 whilst on design placement in New York City. Once me and my friends discovered Chelsea flea market and beacon's closet in Williamsburg (Brooklyn) we were hooked! Since then I have built up a collection of various styles which I like to hang on our bedroom wall...poor Ross!, as well as use them. They are just so beautiful, they just hold so much authenticity and charm.

I'm very excited to let you know we have a selection of these beauties up for sale in our store. There is a variety of tapestry bags from the 50s, 60s and 70s. Anyone else got a lot of love for them? Be interested to know what your favourite style is?
