Pretty clothes, pretty hair and makeup and pretty wall paper, really liking this vintage inspired  fall 2011 collection by Ulyana Sergeenko , not so keen on the boots but the shoes are nice.

Wow London has been hot sunny and beautiful for the last few days, it looks set to be a heat wave this weekend... we are now planning how to make the most of this unusual warm weather for the weekend!
Hope you all have a good one :)

Vintage outfit post: Walthamstow Art Deco Town Hall

Me and ross took a little time out this week to explore Walthamstow, It could be a potential next move for us here in London. Whilst looking around the green part of the area we stumbled across this incredible grand Art Deco building which is the town hall. We walked around so much that day but stopping to have a rest here definitely made our aching feet worth while!

One of my favorite textile designers William Morris was also born here too. I was totally unaware of this until researching the area a little more... this adds even more charm to the area for me.
Have a great weekend all :)

1940s Vintage hair

Image's from Retro Ways

I'm the kind of girl that likes quick and easy hair, I usually leave my hair to dry naturally so it waves and I occasionally put it up in a bun or milk maid braids now and then. This year many designers seem to have been inspired by 1940s rolls for their catwalk shows. I'm liking the modern take on 40s hair up, the styling is more subtle and it looks a little easier to achieve. For me this is still going to be a challenge but I think I will give it a go soon. If anyone knows any good tutorials please send me a link!

Vintage outfit post: Nights are drawing near

It seems Autumn is on its way here in London. As much as I love the summer I do love the cosynesss of Autumn/Winter. There is now a slight bit of chill in the air and I have noticed the nights are drawing in a little earlier (hence the darker look of these photos). Of course A/W is also my favourite season for  dressing and styling my wardrobe... I am really looking forward to choosing new vintage winter coats, hats, boots, and scarfs! And layering all those fabrics and textures up. Me and ross also love the festive season, not much has changed in that way since being a kid I would say!

Back to this outfit, I wore this the other night whilst visiting friends here in London. I wanted to channel my vintage 50s bolero in a completly different way this time. Colourful me can also wear black now and then :)

Any good plans for the weekend? We have a wedding to attend and hopefully a day of rest. Next week we are shooting our new A/W Vintage collection for The Attic People Vintage so the shop should be full with amazing vintage within the next couple of weeks.

Preen - Spring 2012

Image above from Topshop Blog
So New York Fashion week is drawing to an end. What  Spring 2012 shows have inspired you so far? Im in Love with Preen's collection, Those sorbet and monochrome colours work so well together and this collection was also inspired by Virginia Woolf and The Bloomsbury Group who have been a huge inspiration on my own work! I would love to be a proud owner of that sweet peter pan collar crop top.

Vintage tea party...

Here are some of the photos from my sisters vintage tea party as mentioned here. Me and Ross were full of cold and didn't have the energy to take as many photos as usual which was a shame. We still had a wonderful time seeing everybody and eating lots of yummy cakes!

Vintage inspired childrenswear by Kickeboe

This is my first post on children's clothes! I have four nieces and nephews so I often browse the shops for gifts but have never really looked online. Last week I came across the cutest range of children's vintage inspired clothes by a Belgium brand called Kickeboe. The look book is super fun with retro and scenic wall paper, foxes and squirrels and and the children are just so so sweet. Im definatley inspired :)

One of the things we love about living in East London are the weekend markets on our doorstep! Spitalfields Market is so much fun to browse around on a Thursday or Sunday. A vintage lovers dream with a range of vintage furniture and clothes dealers, antiques, fabrics, small designers, crafts and food stalls.

The market is also surrounded by lots of amazing boutiques, and  a great choice of yummy restaurants and cocktail bars. Last thursday me and Ross took a few hours off work to gather a little inspiration and even fitted in a cheeky cocktail or two!

On Friday we headed up North to Nottingham for my sisters Champagne and cake birthday party. We didn't get to take  many photos as we were both run down with a horrible colds! We did manage to take a few snaps of all the cakes which I will share with you soon.

If anyone wants to share any other good markets in London excluding Portobello and Camden? that would be great. Hope you are all having a good week :)
