Our adventures in London are continuing and we're really enjoying discovering this great city. This weekend we've been out with friends on a birthday party barbeque, I had my best friend visit, and we had a lovely trip out to The British Museum London. The city is buzzing, and I'm still getting used to finding my way around, and the various Tube and Bus routes.

The British Museum is the oldist public museum in the world and is filled with amazing history from civilizations thousands of years old. We couldn't help but notice part of the new Austrailian exhibit which is physically replicated parts of their fantastic landscape! Also if one of your guilty pleasures is watching The Apprentice you may have noticed they began one of the episodes here.

Hope everyone has had a great Bank Holiday Weekend!

Charlotte Taylor: Print magic!

Where has this week gone! It feels like the fastest week ever...anyone else feel the same? Maybe I'm just adjusting more to the fast pace of London life. We have spent another week un-packing, setting up our studio space and going through all the necessary mundane tasks involved with moving house and cities. I have also just listed some new stock in The Attic People shop take a peek there are some amazing vintage gems to see and were offering a 10% discount on all items till the end of the month, just type SUNNY99 at the checkout. Now I just need to get back into the swing of a normal routine regarding working ... nearly  there!

Anyone like animal prints? I wanted to share this fashion collection from Charlotte Taylor AW11. I'm in love with the colour palette and all these quirky ant, elephant, penguin, lobster and robot prints. I find the lookbook very inspiring too,  look at the turbans ... I already own this polka dot vintage turban, and a knitted one, now I'm on the search for one with a more interesting print. What do you think of this collection?

What we wore: Exploring our new neighbourhood in East London!

I'm going to keep this short and sweet and let the photos speak for themselves! So here are some photo's from our first more settled weekend in London. We stayed east side on saturday to explore our close surroundings. It was such a beautiful day, me and Ross strolled down through Hackney into London Fields and through to broadway market. We had lunch and I had the freshest vegetarian indian cuisine ever! Ross had a tasty minted lamb burger... then spending the rest of the afternoon chilling with friends drinking beer on the grass of London Fields. We had more London adventures sunday... we will update you with this soon.

All in all we're loving London so far and very glad we pushed ourselves to move. Of course we are still getting use to this massive place and trying to adapt to the faster pace of a large city... this is refreshing and we're very much enjoying it so far! Hope you all had a good weekend?

Pretty vintage inspired frocks from Lowie

Lowie has some beautiful vintage inspired dresses in their new spring/summer collection. Above are a  few of my favourites. I discovered this UK label whilst searching for some good quality knitwear (which they specialize in) last winter. Since my initial visit to their site they seem to have expanded greatly on the dress front... and very nicely I must say. Their look book and styling is very pretty too. What do you think?

On the settling in side of things everything is going well... we're getting there bit by bit, and most boxes are now unpacked! We will be exploring London this weekend which will be recorded visually to share with you's next week. We're very excited as we have been indoors unpacking most of this week! Have a fab weekend.

Hello London...

Excuse us for our silence on this blog lately. A few posts back we mentioned there was going to be a major change in our lives... as you may have guessed from the title of this post we have moved to London! We had been toying with the idea for a couple of years and fate finally decided it was time for us to make a big change. It's been a hectic week packing and arranging everything but we are finally here and settling nicely. We're really looking forward to sharing our new London adventures, experiences, and hopefully lots of new inspiration with all our lovely readers.

As there has been no time for outfit posts I wanted to share a few of our favourite photos of our first year together. Me and Ross were blessed to meet in Liverpool almost four years ago. We have so many fond memories  of our time in Liverpool.  Check my red hair and Ross's super long locks!
We will be back to our normal blogging habits soon in our new London surroundings. Hope you are all well? Once I have a little more time on my hands I will look forward to catching up on all your posts :)

Welcome and thank you to our new followers! It's great to be connecting with so many talented and stylish people here :). There has been a little lack in outfit posts due to us rushing around like a mad couple launching theatticpeople.co.uk this week. We are so pleased with the response we have had from everyone & we appreciate all your support and sweet comments. Now we've launched our new site, our next new adventure is to begin our new range of hand printed interiors products and maybe bags!

I was happily introduced to strathcona stockings through the Urban Outfitters blog a few days ago and haven't been able to get these beautiful socks out of my head! As a print designer I'm naturally drawn to patterns and colours and these floral prints tick all the boxes for me. The freshness and summery feel to their look book is so pretty and quirky at the same time. I am contemplating on buying a pair but still can't make up my mind on which colour I like best, it's definitely between the two above. They have more colour options and prints on their site, what do you think? Would be interested to know your favourite print and how you would choose to style them!

Have a great weekend all. There will be a new outfit post to follow shortly and dont forget 15% discount off all shop items to celebrate the launch of our site till next wednesday. All you need to do is type PARROTS11 into the checkout.
